DESCRIPTION
1-745491-9 is an AMPLIMITE HDE-20 series D-subminiature receptacle connector designed for reliable cable termination applications. This connector features 9 contact positions in a shell size 1 configuration with dimensions of 1.213 inches (Dim. A) and 0.984 inches (Dim. B), and is preloaded with insulation displacement socket contacts for 26-22 AWG wire. The connector utilizes a 94V-0 rated thermoplastic insert in black and accepts wire with a maximum insulation thickness of 0.015 inches and maximum insulation diameter of 0.060 inches. It is designed for terminating solid or stranded wire (7 strand max) with individual conductor strands larger than 0.005 inch diameter. Common applications include industrial machinery, medical instrumentation, computers and peripherals, and data storage systems where reliable D-subminiature connections are required.
