DESCRIPTION

5748678-5 is an AMPLIMITE D-subminiature cable connector assembly designed for reliable connectivity in industrial, medical, and computing applications. The connector features a steel shell with tin plating, a 94V-0 rated thermoplastic insert, and accepts size 20 DF pin and socket contacts. It is available with optional shielding hardware and enclosure kits, supporting cable outer diameters ranging from 0.190 to 0.330 inches with a maximum inner cable bundle diameter of 0.330 inches. The connector is mounted using a standard clinch nut with 4-40 threads and self-locking feature, and is fully RoHS compliant. This connector is ideal for applications requiring robust EMI/RFI shielding and reliable mating in harsh industrial environments such as machinery, medical instrumentation, and data storage systems.
