DESCRIPTION

5-749877-9 is a 100-position panel mount flat top receptacle assembly from the AMPLIMITE .050 Series D-sub connector family. This connector features a high-density D-type interface with .050 x .100 inch (1.27 x 2.54 mm) centerline grid spacing and comes with assembled standard termination covers. The housing is made of thermoplastic with 94V-0 flammability rating in black, while contacts are phosphor bronze with duplex plating featuring minimum .000030 inch (0.00076 mm) gold on the mating end and bright tin in the termination area, all nickel underplated. The shell is steel plated with bright nickel over copper, and the bracket is zinc plated with nickel over copper. This receptacle assembly is designed for panel mounting applications and supports 28 AWG (0.08-0.09 mm²) or 30 AWG (0.05 mm²) wire sizes with insulation diameter of .029-.036 inch (0.74-0.89 mm).
