DESCRIPTION
7-215079-8 is an 8-position female-on-board connector from the AMP Micro-MaTch miniature connector system, designed for top entry mounting onto printed circuit boards. The connector features indented solder legs that provide firm retention during soldering operations, with dimensions of 8.89 mm (A) and 12.2 mm (B) maximum. Polarization is accomplished directly between the AMP Micro-MaTch male connectors and the PC board, eliminating the need for polarizing features on this top entry version, making connector orientation on the board irrelevant. This connector is ideal for miniaturized, high-density electronic applications requiring reliable interconnection in compact spaces, and is commonly used in telecommunications, computing, and consumer electronics where space constraints and signal integrity are critical.
