DESCRIPTION

7-215083-8 is a male-on-wire connector from TE Connectivity's Micro-MaTch modular connector family, designed for wire-to-board interconnections with a 1.27 mm contact centerline spacing. The connector features tin-plated contacts and is supplied on tape for mass termination of 28 AWG ribbon cable (0.08 mm² to 0.09 mm²). The design incorporates a positioning spring in the female contact that absorbs relative movements caused by vibrations and thermal expansion, creating a gas-tight connection that is fretting corrosion resistant. This connector is widely used in automation and control applications including production equipment, robots, motors, heating units, automotive systems, and consumer electronics, where reliable wire-to-board connections and resistance to environmental stress are essential.
