DESCRIPTION
7-215460-8 is a female-on-board side entry connector from the TE Connectivity Micro-MaTch connector family, designed for wire-to-board and board-to-board interconnection applications. The connector features a 1.27 mm contact centerline spacing and tin-plated contact design with a gas-tight connection system that prevents fretting corrosion through an additional positioning spring in the female part. This spring system absorbs relative movements caused by vibrations and thermal expansion, compensates for positional tolerances, and provides the high contact force required for reliable tin-plated connections. The connector is suitable for mass termination of 28 AWG ribbon cable (0.08–0.09 mm²) and is available in multiple position sizes (4 to 20 positions). Common applications include production and material handling equipment, control units, robots, motors, automotive systems, and consumer electronics such as car radios, navigation systems, and audio equipment.
