DESCRIPTION
The 71-3-R is a Series 71 aluminum extractor designed for PCB extraction and module assembly applications. Manufactured from 6061-T6 aluminum alloy per QQ-A-250/8 specification, it features a right-hand orientation with a mechanical advantage of 4.5:1 and provides extraction travel of 11.4 mm (0.45 inches) minimum. The extractor has an overall width of 3.0 mm (12 mils) and weighs 0.05 oz (1.42 g), with dimensional specifications including a 2.29 mm (+0.05/-0.02 mm) critical dimension and a 2.77 mm diameter actuator tab. Two extractors per board (one left and one right) are recommended for optimal PCB retention and extraction performance, with optional bent leg compatibility for Lok Tainer systems and lever-actuated release mechanisms.
