DESCRIPTION
745211-7 is an HDE-20 all-plastic IDC (Insulation Displacement Contact) D-subminiature plug connector from the AMPLIMITE cable connector series. This shell size 4 connector features 37 contact positions with dimensions of 2.732 inches (Dim. A) and 2.500 inches (Dim. B), and accepts 26-22 AWG wire. The housing is constructed from 94V-0 rated black thermoplastic with phosphor bronze contacts featuring duplex plating (gold flash on mating end, tin on termination end, with nickel underplating). The connector is preloaded with insulation displacement pin contacts that accept a maximum wire insulation thickness of 0.015 inches and maximum wire insulation diameter of 0.060 inches. It is designed for terminating solid or stranded wire (7 strand max) and is intermateable with MIL-C-24308 compliant D-subminiature connectors, making it suitable for industrial machinery, medical instrumentation, computers, and data storage applications.
