DESCRIPTION
8-215079-8 is an 18-position female-on-board miniature connector designed for the AMP Micro-MaTch interconnection system. This top entry connector features indented solder legs that provide firm retention of the connector before and during soldering operations, with dimensions of 21.59 mm (A) and 24.9 mm (B) maximum. The connector does not include polarizing features, making the orientation on the printed circuit board irrelevant, and it is compatible with standard reflow and infrared solder processes. The housing is designed for reliable mating with AMP Micro-MaTch male connectors, and the connector is supplied on adhesive tape with standard packaging of 2500 units per 600 mm reel or optional packaging of 250 units per 250 mm reel. This connector is widely used in miniaturized electronic applications requiring high-density interconnections on circuit boards.
