DESCRIPTION

The HONEYWELL EX-Q171 is a MICRO SWITCH™ Hazardous Location Switch designed for use in potentially explosive environments. The switch features an epoxy-coated aluminum housing, a threaded top pin plunger, and does not come with a lever. It is a single pole double throw (SPDT) switch, capable of handling up to 15 A at 125, 250, or 480 Vac. With a NEMA 1 seal rating, the switch is built to withstand harsh conditions, with an operating temperature range of -40 °C to 70 °C [-40 °F to 158 °F]. It also features a 1/2 - 14 NPT conduit termination for easy installation. This switch is suitable for use in NEMA 7 (Class I, Div. 1 & 2, Groups C & D) and NEMA 9 (Class II, Div. 1 & 2, Groups E, F, & G) hazardous locations. It is also Ex d IIB + H2 T6 Category II 2 G certified and comes with multiple agency approvals including ATEX (CE), CSA, UL, IEC Ex, and INMETRO. The EX-Q171 includes an external and internal ground screw for wiring convenience, and comes with a mounting bracket and hardware packets for easy assembly.
